I’ve been seeing a lot of content online recently about a forthcoming Accessibility law change that affects Websites, Apps and Digital Services in Ireland and the EU. From June 28th 2025 if you are an owner of a business website you will be legally required to make sure it follows at least WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.0 Level AAA standard which means your website must be basically accessible and usable to people with a range of disabilities.
Apparently there will be convictions and fines for anyone who ignores these new requirements after June 28th but some leniency may be shown to microenterprises with fewer than 10 employees and turnover less than €2m. I’m not sure if or how this will be enforced and I suspect it wont, similar to the privacy/cookie change a few years ago but who knows.
You can read a bit more about it here:
https://nda.ie/accessibility/european-accessibility-act
And you can see if your website is compliant here (Paste in your web address and choose “WCAG 2.0 (Level AAA)” under Options then hit “Check it”):

I build websites with some accessibility in mind so I don’t expect them to be inaccessible or be far off standards if they are but whether I’ve built it or not, get in touch if you are concerned and need me to look at it or make some changes to bring it up to standards.
